At MWA, we believe that housing is a fundamental human right and that design is a powerful tool to help provide equitable housing solutions for our most vulnerable community members. Each community we serve is unique, and our housing design thoughtfully responds to cultural and site contexts, serving as a foundation for community growth.
While our housing studios in San Francisco, California, and Portland, Oregon, serve different communities, the common thread across our housing work is design excellence that incorporates cost-saving techniques for public projects with limited funding opportunities. Our housing expertise has grown to include market-rate, income-restricted, senior, intergenerational communities, family-centric, and permanent supportive housing.
