Taryn is an architect with 20 years of experience dedicated to reshaping communities through affordable housing. As MWA’s Director of Portland Housing, she blends creativity with purpose, crafting spaces that foster connection and inclusivity.

Taryn thrives as a smart and flexible problem solver, committed to doing what’s right for her team, clients, and end users. She brings a balance of technical expertise and strong communication skills to all of her projects. With each project, she wants to create value and inspire real and positive change.

To Taryn, MWA values mean that she can feel good about what she does. Being able to help an underserved population and knowing she has been a part of creating safe and creative spaces and community brings her meaning every day. She loves working in a firm that allows her to dabble in all aspects of a project and have a voice that is heard. She appreciates working with such a fantastic team that brings so much creativity, care, and respect to projects and residents.

In her free time, Taryn enjoys camping, reading, hiking mountains, bike riding, and mushroom hunting.
