Principal | Director of Water and Infrastructure

Greg brings over 25 years of planning and design experience as Principal and Director of San Francisco’s Water and Infrastructure Studio. He guides his team through challenging projects, including wastewater treatment plants, chemical storage facilities, and administration and laboratory buildings. An accomplished project manager and creative designer, he strives to balance functional and aesthetic objectives to maximize a project’s value to the community it serves.

With a continual desire to learn from his work, Greg deliberately takes on complex projects that expand the scope and scale of work done at MWA. An expert in design, direction, and project management, he leads his team through designing and constructing large-scale infrastructure projects such as the Francisco PUC Biosolids Digester Facilities and Sunnyvale Cleanwater Center. Greg and his team conduct extensive community outreach to ensure the design reflects the end user’s needs while positively impacting the environment on projects with large footprints. His thoughtful design approach and excellent leadership skills have led to countless community-enhancing projects.

As a leader at MWA, Greg has grown the Bay Area Infrastructure team and expanded the firm’s reach to Southern California. His goal is to bring sustainable resiliency to water and wastewater infrastructure in regions most affected by climate change. Building a larger team with diverse skill sets, perspectives, and experiences will facilitate a more equitable and innovative infrastructure for at-risk populations.
