Project Architect
As a member of the Portland Infrastructure Studio, Melissa brings over 20 years of diverse design experience to her role as Project Architect. Her portfolio crosses all market sectors from senior, assisted, multi-family, and high-end housing to infrastructure and more recently designing K-12 educational facilities. Having this broad industry experience allows her to approach projects from different perspectives, adding depth to her design.
As a Project Architect, Melissa focuses on the technical side of architecture. She is heavily engaged in schematic design and produces design development documents, construction drawings, specifications, and detailing for small and large-scale renovations and new construction projects. She sees sustainable design as an essential practice and is experienced in sustainability, LEED, and resilient design.
When she’s not working, Melissa loves mountaineering and creating art. Her most recent exhibition features mandalas inspired by and painted on vintage records.
