Michael is a senior project architect who is committed to socially responsible design and providing solutions to complex design problems, bringing clients’ ideas to life. With over 25 years of experience in design and project creation, he leverages his position as a designer and architect to contribute to the public realm by providing spaces that the community can enjoy. He prioritizes design decisions and sensible material choices that have a lasting, positive impact on communities. Michael uses his leadership across projects to bring these values to the forefront of every project.
With a personal mission to create projects with clear organization and comfortable flow that support the greater societal good, Michael joined the MWA Infrastructure Studio with a keen interest in our civic projects. With expertise in design management, project management, and client management, Michael brings a collaborative and communicative approach to his work. His goal is to merge design opportunities with client and firm objectives, creating meaningful spaces that last.
Michael’s continued interest in balanced design has led him to become a Sustainable Building Advisor and gain certification as a Green Globes Professional. With a passion for preserving natural environments, Michael applies his knowledge of sustainable practices to every project.
Throughout his work process, Michael aims to manifest MWA’s core values through diplomacy, daily curiosity, and local implementation of designing for the world’s needs.
Outside the office, Michael spends his time sketching, cycling, collecting miniature replica buildings, and building new things for his home and yard.
