Maria Benavente

My experience in architecture started in Peru where I worked on small to medium scale residential and public infrastructure projects. Born into a family of doctors, I have always seen architecture as a social profession; as a person needs a doctor, a person needs a house. My studies in sustainability, emergency architecture and international cooperation have helped me develop a social, friendly and resilient approach to design.

When I’m not collaborating on an architectural project, I enjoy spending time with family, travelling, swimming, drawing, taking pictures, and of course eating Peruvian food!
