My architecture career began in the historical city of Cuzco, Peru, where I was fortunate to work on and experience projects that carry a strong cultural message. Life took me to Portland where I received my Masters in Architecture from Portland State University and I began my career in the US. Through my travels I’ve been lucky to experience many cultures and gain the understanding of how humans interact both socially and with architecture, and how architecture can be utilized as an expression of culture. The awareness of our surroundings and how we can use architecture as a tool to serve our communities is what I like to focus my exploration on. As designers we have the responsibility to look for solutions that meet our needs but also respond respectfully to the environment.
When not doing architecture with my colleagues at MWA, you will find me enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest through my passion for outdoor sports such as cycling, ski boarding and kite boarding.
