David Brown

Senior Specifications Writer

My career has spanned over 45 years and has given me the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects. I spent 28 of those years working for the National Park Service as a team captain in charge of multidiscipline teams working nationally on visitor center projects. For 13 years now I’ve been doing specifications. My focus at MWA is on the technical aspects of architectural design based on my experience which ranges from multifamily housing, office, retail, medical, government, aviation, higher education, security, and maintenance facilities. I specialize in construction documentation, quality control and building envelope performance.

Over the years I’ve had many interests outside of work and have enjoyed hiking in the Blue Ridge and Colorado mountains, viewing old paintings and sculpture, listening to Baroque music, traveling to England and France to see old houses, and visiting my wife’s homeland in South India.
