Architect | Senior Project Manager
Having begun his architectural career with MWA more than three decades ago, Chris has returned to us with 30 years of experience in numerous architecture and building types. His expertise and passion are in multifamily housing; in various project delivery systems and construction types. He brings to all of his work extreme attention to detail, a fascination with form and function, and continues to explore how good quality design can affect our lives, focusing on sustainability.
Having begun his career under the teachings of Michael Willis, FNOMA, FAIA, and Carlton Smith, FNOMA, FAIA, Chris has carried forward their focus on good design throughout his career. He now looks for opportunities to mentor others, both within the San Francisco Housing Studio and the firm at large. Chris leads his teams to have a continued desire for learning and teaches that flexibility and agility are crucial to team success.
Chris and his wife have a blended family of three adult children, and they love to take weekend trips to Tomales, Bodega Bay, or Sea Ranch, and annual trips to Hawaii, Maui in particular. They love animals and have always had dogs and cats in their family.
