Originally from Australia, my early experience was primarily in the institutional/public sectors. In the last several years I have transitioned to the affordable housing realm, where I passionately advocate for quality planning and sustainable design. I have a deep understanding of construction with technical expertise that is supported by two years as a construction supervisor for Habitat for Humanity in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and the East Bay. I love big ideas and details, and value collaboration and cross-mentorship. I think that not only should work be fun, but that better work is produced if we are having a good time.
Outside of the office, you’ll find me volunteering in professional organizations across the Bay Area. I’m most active within the Organization of Women Architects and Design Professionals, where I help conceive and deliver programming and exhibits. I also enjoy living in Oakland, riding my bike (as far as Los Angeles), gardening, and writing.
