Designer
Max Weisenbloom is a well-rounded designer with experience in housing, infrastructure, and interiors. Max graduated from the Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s in architecture, researching homelessness and housing affordability. Max’s college research informed his belief that every form of architecture is connected. As part of MWA’s Portland Infrastructure Team, Max is excited to contribute to designing buildings that are essential to humanity’s basic needs.
Max is a collaborative designer who is not afraid to ask questions. He loves talking to people and seeks opportunities to help. He looks first for the greater purpose of a project before jumping into the details. Max most strongly connects to MWA’s value of community, believing that community is the core of all the work that we do. With MWA specializing in public projects, Max sees the community as our end-user and our greatest stakeholder and looks for opportunities for community engagement throughout the design process.
Keeping the creativity flowing at home, Max and his partner find new recipes each week to cook together after work. Max is also an avid long-distance biker, and takes an annual biking trip, this year bringing him to Lopez Island in the San Juans. This is only a small part of Max’s love for travel, which is quickly bringing him around the world.
