Isaac Johnson, AIA
Architect | Senior Project Manager
Isaac is driven by a deep commitment to service, problem-solving, and creating designs that meet the needs of both clients and the community. With broad experience in multi-family housing design, Isaac has taken on nearly every role within an architectural studio, giving him a unique perspective when working with colleagues. His inquisitive nature and strong listening skills help him understand client objectives and develop thoughtful, responsive solutions.
Passionate about multi-family housing, Isaac sees design as a three-dimensional puzzle—an exploration of ordering systems that bring clarity and simplicity. He is committed to creating architecture that is accessible to the 99% and improves the lives of residents and the greater community.
At MWA, Isaac values the strong sense of community within the firm. The energy in the office, the support among colleagues, and the shared passion for design make it a rewarding place to work—plus, the team’s intense love for dogs is a bonus. Isaac appreciates how MWA ties creativity to responsibility, prioritizing that projects serve social and ecological needs.
Outside of architecture, Isaac is a dedicated tinkerer, always working on projects. Whether restoring a 1952 GMC truck that has been in the family for over 50 years or tackling endless renovations on their 1908 home, he enjoys the challenge of hands-on problem-solving. When not immersed in projects, he loves skiing, cycling, and spending time with his wife, daughters, and beloved Chihuahua.
