Anna Hermann, AIA

Architect

Anna is an architect with a passion for designing spaces that serve both people and the environment. She is deeply engaged in the challenge of what to build, how to reimagine existing spaces, and how design can enhance daily life. With a strong foundation in conceptual thinking, clear communication, and organized project delivery, she brings thoughtful design solutions to every project.

Her career has taken her across the country and abroad, from working in exhibition design and curating in Berlin, Vienna, New York, and LA to designing institutional, cultural, and housing projects nationwide. She has also run her own practice, taught architecture studios at USC, and consulted in sustainability and materials research. After returning to Portland just before the pandemic, she worked in MWA’s housing studio, reinforcing her dedication to community-driven design. Now, she’s diving into MWA’s sustainability-focused projects.

Beyond architecture, much of Anna’s time is spent making art with her family, as well as hiking and trail running in Forest Park.
