A nine-story building, it maximizes use of its tiny (6000-square-foot), constrained urban site, adjacent to Glide Memorial Methodist Church, by wrapping fifty-five studio, one, two and three bedroom units in an “L”-shaped configuration around a light court. A rooftop copper sculpture nicknamed “the Journey” by Reverend Cecil Williams serves as a marker pointing to the church and suggests the powerful music sung by the congregation’s choir.
