Moscone Convention Center West Expansion

San Francisco, CA

Designed to work as both a stand-alone facility as well as overflow space for blockbuster conventions, Moscone Center III is a three-floor exhibition and conferencing facility.

As a joint venture architect responsible for the building’s shell and core, MWA was involved in the early stages of design of both façade and interior planning. Working with Gensler as the lead designer, we took a lead in the technical coordination of architectural and building engineering issues. At night the lit building is a beacon, allowing passersby a clear view of the activities within.
