The solution to bring “outside” light whether natural or artificial is also a key factor in the perception of light. The firm was able to work with the landlord in order to provide a light shaft through a second-story space to bring natural light into a central atrium area. And, by penetrating existing exterior walls this allowed even more natural light into the workplace. Varying ceiling heights, a relatively inexpensive element, adds character and interest.
